Repurposed Headboard Wall Shelf

after hanging out in my storage area for SIX years, this headboard was finally joined with a recent $1 yard sale table to become a unique and beautiful wall shelf.
At a family dinner gathering (SIX years ago) my cousin gave me this beautiful twin headboard. You can see that it barely fit in my vehicle.

It wasn't forgotten by any means, I was just waiting for the perfect project, maybe a matching foot board someday to make a bench?
THEN I spotted the coffee table earlier this month at a yard sale for a BUCK! I knew it would be perfect for a project I've been wanting to do for years, and the six year old headboard was the perfect match.

Mind you, I bought this table for the sole purpose of using the top, but I recently found the perfect use for the base.

You can see that project here: http://www.hometalk.com/diy/home-office/furniture/repurposed-desk-drawer-sections-10146363
After cutting the table into smaller sections and cutting off the legs of the bed, I used a Kreg Jig to secure the table pieces onto the headboard. Painting this beauty was easy with my Homeright Finish Max, giving the posts of the bed the perfect finish you just can't get with a paint brush.

I have been searching for a pretty footboard or small headboard like this for YEARS.... NO LUCK. No anywhere including online. People online think they are selling gold plated junk.
