Easy Pumpkin Shadow Box

I had a whole plethora of bright orange pumpkins that I just wasn’t feeling anymore. Add that to some empty RIBBA frames from IKEA and it was some great crafting waiting to happen!
All you need for this project is:

- Shadowbox frame

- Gold Spray paint

- Styrofoam Pumpkin

- Glue Gun

- Cardstock

Cut your pumpkin in half with an exacto knife so that you get a clean cut. You can try scissors but this will leave a bunch of styrofoam pieces EVERYWHERE. Trust me.

Spray paint the half pumpkins with a few light coats until fully covered.

While you’re waiting for your pumpkin to dry, cut a piece of cardstock to fit your frame. Mine was 5 1/2 x 5 1/2, so that’s what I cut. Before you glue make sure that your pumpkin fits in the frame, you may have to shave more off the back to get it to fit properly. Or you can go the other route of no glass in the front and then this step won’t matter.

Using your glue gun, put some of the glue on the flat side of your pumpkin and place it where you are wanting it on your cardstock. I tried to center mine as best I could. Place the piece back in your frame and as Ellie, my 2yr old would say, TA-DA (hands thrown in the air are optional)!
You could easily replace the pumpkin with an acorn or pine cones or even a gold sprayed leaf!
