DIY Fall Wreath

Since today is the first day of Fall, I decided to start my DIY Fall decorations! (Even though today it is over 90 degrees outside and still feels like the middle of summer…. ) My front porch has been needing some help for quite a while so I decided to make my front porch my next project. My plan is to create or build everything that goes onto the front porch (other than some of the decorative items that I haven’t quite figured out how to build myself yet! 😉 ). First, I decided to create a Fall wreath for my front door since that is a quick and easy project that will add some instant Falltastic decor to my front door. It only took me about an hour to put the create the wreath using items purchased at Hobby Lobby (all Fall decor is currently 40% off – yay!)
First, I started with a grapevine wreath:
I had purchased a few different bags containing Fall leaves, pine cones, faux mini pumpkins and other Fall fruits, and then some Fall flower sprigs and a burlap bow.

Using hot glue, I attached a large burlap bow, here is the bow prior to gluing it onto the wreath:
I then took one of the decorative Fall flowers I purchased and cut off the stem:
I then glued the flower to the center of the burlap bow on the wreath to give it a little more decor:
I then used my glue gun to attach different colored leaves all over the wreath. Here is the bag of mixed Fall leaves, it is a mixture of orange, yellow, green, and red leaves:
I then used my hot glue gun to attach two Fall flower sprigs to the wreath, here’s a pic of one of the sprigs, I also attached a red sprig:
I then used my glue gun to attach clusters of pine cones and faux acorns to the wreath.
In less than an hour I had a beautiful Fall wreath. I hung it on my front door and love it! Here are some more pics:
