French Country Cabinet Makeover

I was thrilled when I saw this piece in the back of an old barn-like shed. The story of how I got it is a lot of the fun of this piece.
This month, the theme was French for the Themed Furniture Makeover. When I was thinking of what I could do for the French theme, I thought this would make a cute French country makeover.
It needed some work, but look at those worm holes!!! Real worm holes!!! It would take me hours to try and replicate this on another piece and it wouldn't look authentic.
When I think of French, I also think of old books so I got out my trusty homemade mod podge solution with Elmer's glue and water and put old book pages on this inside of the drawer of this piece.
This cabinet came out so pretty and cute. I painted it a light "frenchy" blue color and sanded the edges.
I don't mind that it doesn't have doors. It still has storage and now the things I put in it can be seen. Read the full story and see the entire transformation of this piece on my blog post: http://www.mycreativedays.com/french-country-cabinet-makeover-themed-furniture-makeover-day/
