Rope and Yarn Wreath

I love dressing up my front door with new wreaths. This easy and inexpensive rope and yarn wreath is just perfect for the DIY yarn tassels are the perfect addition.
If you can glue and wrap, you can make this easy wreath.
You need a straw wreath form, Manila 1/4" rope (from Home Depot) and yarn for this wreath. You also need scissors and hot glue.
Begin by hot gluing the end of the rope to the back of the wreath. Then wrap your rope around the wreath. Stop every so often to manipulate the rope and "squish" the rope together. When you finish wrapping you may notice small spaces of the wreath form showing through, that is why I recommend a straw form, it blends better. Secure the end of the rope with hot glue to the back of the form.
Begin adding the yarn much the same way you began with the rope. Glue the end on the back of the wreath and wrap. I wrapped the yarn about 1" apart, but in some areas went around 2-3 times...just do what looks good to you!
I added DIY yarn tassels to my wreath for embellishment. I am loving tassels on everything right now. Find the tassel tutorial here: http://www.504main.com/2015/09/diy-yarn-tassels.html
There you have it, a pretty and rustic Fall wreath. Be sure to visit the blog post for special notes and more thorough directions.

I need to wrap my grapevine wreath before I can wrap with rope. Do you know what I can use? Yours looks like it is wrapped with some type of plastic.
