How To Permanently Print on Chalkboard Ribbon

Ya'll, I purchased this fabulous chalkboard ribbon LAST YEAR! I loved it so much that I had to have it. I got it back to the wreath shop and then it just sat there...ugh, I was so intimated to use it. I just kept looking at it...it was screaming for me to use it. I mean chalkboard is so popular right now.

Then the buyer's remorse set in. Why did I purchase this when my handwriting is so elementary? Why did I think I could use chalk for wreaths that are meant to hang outside in the dampness? Then the AH HA moment!

I saw a video on how to transfer print onto a chalkboard tray using chalk and the print was legit, professional. I could do that! Then I started thinking why not use a permanent marker so it would not rub off! Jackpot!

Here are my brief instructions on how to use permanently print on chalkboard ribbon but refer to my blog using the link before for more detailed instructions.
Supplies Used-
Chalkboard ribbon
Printer and paper
White Chalk
Ballpoint Pen
Permanent Paint Pen/Marker
Masking Tape or Painters Tape
Scissors
Step 1 -Measure and Cut Ribbon
Measure the length of the ribbon streamer you want to use.

Step 2 -Print your design
Then use a word processor to design and print your phrase to the height and length you want using the font you want. Cut out your phrase using scissors.
Step 3 -Chalk it Up
Turn the phrase you just cut out over and on the back, use white chalk to completely cover the back of the printed phrase. You will need to tap the excess chalk into the trash can.
Step 4 -Transfer
Refer to the video on my blog using the link below.
Step 5 - Make it Permanent
Using a white permanent paint marker, trace over the chalk outlines.
