Tribal Pattern Dresser

This month the Fab Furniture Flippin' Contest's theme was geometric design, so I stepped out of my comfort zone and tried out a new color and pattern on this dresser! The paint color I used was General Finishes Emerald, and I just love the color. Yes, it's bright, but everything about this piece is a little bit out of the ordinary.

I found this dresser at a garage sale a year and a half ago, and it's been sitting in my garage ever since. It has an art deco feel, and the woodgrain veneer was actually very pretty, but it was chipped and cracking in quite a few places on the bottom drawers, so I decided to paint it, but still keep the wood intact on the top.

I stenciled the top drawers with white,

To get the pattern on the dresser, I used a projector (that we borrowed from school, although I'm wondering if you could also check them out from the public library?) to enlarge the pattern, and then chalk to outline it onto the drawers.
