Z on Sep 27, 2015My guess is it could very well be possible but with out knowing where the drain leads it's impossible to say for sure.Helpful Reply

Lisa on Sep 28, 2015Not sure.....perhaps call the company you got the A/C from or any company with your inquiry. Our furnace room and laundry room are in the same room....and the guy that installed our new A/C in the spring rain that clear plastic tube into our laundry tub and secured it there with fasteners.Helpful Reply

John Kenney on Sep 28, 2015If you are talking about the unit inside your home you can purchase a tank and pump from an a/c supply store that has a sensor like your toilet tank. When the condensation fills the yank the pump comes on and drains the tank,You can mount the kit to the plenum and run the tubing overhead to your drain.Helpful Reply

512181 on Sep 28, 2015We have the pump set up. We used to have the drain going to the outside but in the winter the line from the gas furnace condensation would freeze and water would back up into the house. We now have both the air-conditioning and the gas furnace condensation line feed into a pump and then it pumps the water into the drain for the washing machine. My husband got the pump from Amazon and it has been fine so far. I believe it has an alarm in case the pump fails.Helpful Reply

Richard on Sep 28, 2015Sure it can go into a sewer pipe. It is best to use a condensate pump and sensor. Make sure your air handler has a metal or plastic containment base.Helpful Reply

Molly on Sep 28, 2015I have used cheap sticky tiles onto a concrete floor. We don't go to the basement often so water does gather on the floor sometimes and the tiles have never lifted. Good luckHelpful Reply

Pat on Sep 28, 2015Sounds like ours...clear hose from air conditioner to the sewer drain. We put carpet over ours...not beautiful but at least hides it, though it does pass in front of the doorway.. I would like to chip out the cement and put the hose in a channel but it has to be changed now and then (clogs, mold, etc.) so not sure that would work....maybe a channel with carpeting on top....I am still thinking and will be looking for other ideas you receive.Helpful Reply

Susan E on Sep 28, 2015Probably because I am from California, this whole discussion is a mystery to me. Is this a window a/c? Why do you have a floor drain? Where would the floor drain be, i.e., what room?Helpful Reply

Donna Carroll on Sep 29, 2015My condensation pump is piped to the outside of the house with pvc pipe. I made a concrete basin with quickcrete to catch the outflow and the birds use it to bathe in. :)Helpful Reply
