Inexpensive DIY Halloween Gallery Wall With DIY Spooky Mirror

It's almost October and that means it's time to start decorating for Halloween! Last year was the first year I decorated and I loved putting together an inexpensive thrifted gallery wall. Since I didn't have a lot of Halloween decorations Goodwill was the best place to go for inexpensive items that I could turn into spooky Halloween decor.
I ended up buying a $3.00 mirror, a vintage book with a few freaky pictures and 4 small plaques that were only a $1.00 a piece.
I first spray painted the plaques black then searched for a few spooky pictures that I could print. I used Mod Podge to attach the pictures to the front of the plaques and I had easy and cheap art.
To create the cool mirror effect I removed the cardboard backing from the frame then took sandpaper and sanded the heck out of the mirror backing. I'm not gonna lie, this takes some serious sanding and muscle to get through the layers of the mirror.
Once I was happy with my sanding I added a spooky picture and it was ready to be hung on the gallery wall. I opted to use command strips instead of making a bunch of random nail holes in my wall. It worked great, just be careful when you remove the pictures.
The addition of a few other Goodwill frames, card stock bats and fake cobwebs (bought on clearance from last Halloween) and I had the perfect thrifted gallery wall.
