Change a simple bud vase into a pumpkin or ghost. An easy project for kids too!

We have a family fun night every weekend and my kids loved making these pumpkins as well.
You'll need a bud vase for both projects. I got mine from the Dollar Tree.
For the pumpkin we painted the outside with orange folk art acrylic paint for the body - be sure to be light on the coat of pain so light will shine through. For the stem we used brown folk art acrylic paint. We used a sponge brush but you can use any kind of brush really. Once that dries, draw on a face of your choice with a sharpie. Let that dry and then spray with acrylic paint sealer. We put a flicker candle in ours ($1 for a set of 2 at the dollar tree)
This is the acrylic sealer we used.
For the ghost, spray with rust-oleum frosted glass paint. After it dries, use a sharpie to color in your eyes. For the light on this one we used a plug in light bulb from the Dollar Tree.
This is the frosted paint.
