Golden Fall Pumpkins

Want to give those dollar store pumpkins a new look? Using Chalk Paint and Spray Paint, you can transform them with ease in under 30 minutes.
I used some plain, dollar store pumpkins and an old leaf tray that I've had for years.
When something is no longer a good fit just based on its color, there is nothing easier than using spray paint to give it a new look.
I didn't have any primer on hand, so I gave the tray a coat of chalk paint before spray painting it gold. That gave the spray paint something to adhere to.
It dries very quickly, so in very little time, I had my golden tray.
For the pumpkins, I didn't think adhering would be a problem, so I started with a coat of gold paint.
Once they were dry, I used painter's tape to cover the bottoms and gave the tops of them a coat of chalk paint. I used upholstery tacks on a couple of them for some added texture. From start to finish, this project took under 30 minutes and it was very inexpensive.
I love the new look and I love how quick and easy this project was. Paint is definitely a crafter's best friend!

Your creations are beautiful! I would like to know the shade of gold you used. I have found that the golds I have purchased in the past are somewhat dull. Thank you
