Personally I would strip the cabinets and restain a lighter color against the glass tile.

Shiney white or creamy off white. Or you could go totally opposite & go glossy black. BOTH would look fabulous with that tile. Update that hardware.

I agree with Mickey and Boo Boo on the cream or off white

Definitely go lighter since the trends are all going toward whites, ivory, "cement" & light warm greys or greiges. This client of mine painted her own cabinets after I recommended colours for her. Cabinets are light grey, backsplash is also very light whites & greys. Counters are white with silver speckles. A wonderful budget-conscious update for her kitchen.

Personally, I would pick a lighter warm gray for the uppers and a darker warm gray for the lowers. I would use the the tile as a starting point (compared to paint strips). If you find the colour a tad too cool, I would try one paint strip closer to taupe, in the paint store's display.

i would go with painting the cupboards the med. grayish color on the back splash and then paint the doors in the black but make them look like the marble in the back splash

@Cindy personally making them look like marble may be to overpowering against the glass which has alot of design already.

I would like you to think with emotion....What color in that back splash made you decide to buy it.? What color were you drawn to.? There is something about it that you love. You have several choices, You could paint the inner part of the door a single color and the wooden frame a different color, Or you cold go lighter cabinets above and deeper color below. All one color or you could beige it or gray it with plexi glass over lay in the middle and solid or marble look on the frame part thereby picking up the glass look. express yourself, And do what you love. There are no boundries in your imagination.

Are you open to two tones? Something like Metropolis by Benjamin Moore on the bottoms with Cloud White on top would look great!

I used the exact same tile for a craft project and there isn't any gray in it. It's more in the family of brown tones. I loved the colors of the glass pieces and I would definitely go with cream colors with this tile.

I think that is the same tile we used here: http://www.hometalk.com/diy/kitchen-dining/backsplashes/diy-mosaic-tile-backsplash-3849843 Our cabinets are a medium to light mushroom color if that helps you at all.

If you like blue, try Mythic Forest by Behr. Just painted our old cabinets and I really like it. Got it at Home Depot.
