Operation Sideboard

$25
2 Weeks
Medium
After looking for the perfect sideboard for months (maybe years!) I decided to take matters into my own hands!
This is it, a little grainy, but you get the idea. Plain Jane dresser I found on a facebook yard sale site for $15! I loved the clean lines, it was the perfect size and I immediately saw the potential!
Once I got it home I took a closer look, sketched it out and decided it was best to remove the bottom drawers and cross pieces.
After the cross pieces were gone we reinforced it with more boards along the bottom, and filled it in with a bottom shelf, suitable for holding up all sorts of goodies!
I wanted a bright mod looking piece so for paint I chose 3 of my favourite Benjamin Moore colours, Newburyport Blue for the body, Chantilly Lace for the inside and Dark Salmon for the drawers. The hardware that was on it was exactly what I would have chosen for it too, so I didn't have to change it out! Added bonus was I already had the blue and white paint, so all it cost me a pint of pink!
And Ta-da! Here it is, in its new home and full of my very best china, cookbooks and special pieces.
