We are renovating a house in Dunwoody. The house was built in 1964. The fireplace has a brick veneer that will need to be removed and we'll replace it with a very simple, classic design and use tile facing around the firebox and for the hearth.... recommendations?

If you don't get any personal recommendations, you could always search for tile contractors or other specialists in the contractor search at the top of the page.
  • Any good tile store should be able to suggest someone for you. Besides your going to need to purchase something you like, No place better then a tile shop. Post some photos and the many design professionals on this site will help you decide what might look nice.

At the suggestion of one member, here is a photo of the fireplace, we have removed the shelves that are currently on the left and right. The brick is simply veneer and will be removed as well.

Sounds like you could use a carpenter and a tile installer .. for a small project like this, I would recommend Kurt Wichman (he is licensed & insured) 404.610.0481 .. he uses Roman Tile (Pete) that does superb work. Both are very reasonably priced, I have done a lot of work with them - no complaints!
