Today I decided to refinish my front door.. It was kind of cold outside but my mind was set and I'm a little stubborn.. Well a lot! Lol.
First I added the detail at the bottom of the door and then with the help of my Pixie Dust and my Unicorn Spit I went for a bold and unique front door..
What do you guys think??..
Even though the door was previously painted in red, I needed to be a chalky finish paint in order to have the results I wanted.
So I started adding the detail at the bottom that I founded at Hobby Lobby on sale for $12.99 yay!!!

Then Select your colors!
I used paint and primer flat finish regular pain mixed with pixie dust for a chalky finished. Then the enhancement my Unicorn Spit in orange, dark and bright red, teal and dark blue.

You need to apply first the chalky finish paint colors.. Let's start with the red! And with the same brush, get some orange and start blending add your Unicorn spit on top of the paint colors to help them shine and blended with the other colors!

When dry, distressed as you like!

Then with the help of a dark stain, apply this brown color in the distressed areas.. (Mine is a solid wood door, so it was easier to apply the stain) if your door is not a wood door, you can use dark wax to antiqued..

Seal with a all weather sealer or with Polycrilyc and give it another coat of seal a week after for a long life beautiful door!

What is Unicorn Spit? Is this a color or something to blend paints? I would like to use these colors on an old maple couch frame I have. The door is magnificent!
