Antique Ceiling Tiles Re Thought!

I am in love with this piece!
I have been wanting to do this to a piece of furniture for a very long time now. Just two things stood in my way ... a) I couldn't find antique ceiling tile and ... b) I needed the right style of piece in rough enough shape to try it out on.
I have been wanting to do this to a piece of furniture for a very long time now. Just two things stood in my way ... a) I couldn't find antique ceiling tile and ... b) I needed the right style of piece in rough enough shape to try it out on.
Believe it or not I obtained both the ceiling tile and the sideboard within a week of each other! Lucky me!
The insides of the drawers were sticky with some sort of adhesive. I think there was drawer liners in them that were removed and then left the sticky. To fix that I simply lined the insides with antique book pages with modpodge. I also did this to the inside of the bottom cupboard ...
