I would paint them white or pink and use them for a bed, but I am Shabby Chic and that''s me. You could "plant" one on each end of a garden for a humorous plant "bed" ! I have seen a few of these around my neck of Vermont...

I love iron beds painted white or a pale blue and use it as a bed.

I have one just like yours. It was my grandma's. I use it as a bed in spare room. We removed the many layers of paint that was on it and have chosen to leave it unpainted for now. I absolutely love it and the memories that go with it.

so if you had someone with welding skills you could maybe make a bench, like they do with the wooden beds

Place in garden borders would be great with some rust-proof paint applied. Supports for clematis, climbing roses, depending on your climate, etc. Chair or bench for porch or b/yard would be great idea, too.

Hang them on a heavy wood fence or wall outside, clamp on or drill in and put pot holders for pretty flowers, paint it with a rust proof paint, weave some ivy thru the bed for interest, would love to have for my project, but have enough projects now. Hope you receive the reply that strikes your idea chord and get to work. Enjoy,

I've seen cute benches made by cutting foot board in half for arm rests & head board for back rest

Cut off headboard & end piece. Cut the end piece in half and make a cool bench. The back of bench is the headboard and the sides of the the bench the two halls you'll have to build the seat obviously I've done this with mahogany wood headboards not metal so I think you'll have a bigger task a head of you with welding

Personally if they were mine and I had the room in my home I'd put it back together and make a day bed out of it or use it to display things like a teddy bear, doll collection or a display of hand made blankets or such as that. BUT that's just me!

Make a flower "bed" in the garden. Set up like a bed, and plant colorful flowers within to resemble a quilt.

If you don't want to use it as a bed, sell it and use the $$$ for something you need. Cutting this metal up is serious labor. If you keep it for a bed, polish the metal with metal polish and steel wool and use fresh white linens to contrast with the rustic metal look.

I have one also and I plan on making a wooden bed platform then attach the head and foot board to it. Then since we live out in the country put grass carpet on it and place it by the burn pit for laying on it while star gazing.
