Easy
These are quick and easy to make, they just need to dry overnight or all day. They sit up around the house and look just awesome. Full instructions on the website/blog.
I think this one looks like E.T.
Only things needed are liquid starch, cheesecloth, balloons or balls and felt if you want to use it to make eyes. or a howling mouth.
These are plant stands on my kitchen counter.
Just plan a "tower" for the size of ghost you want. Life size is fine or they can be as small as you want for a table centerpiece. Add some arms by balancing a coat hanger under the balloon.
You can also make ones to hang from a tree. Just suspend the balloon from the edge of your porch or deck so that it can hang to dry. Prick the balloon when it is dry to remove. These look great hanging from trees....seems like a real ghost.
You may want to make these in the garage or patio so that you can clean up with a garden hose. I used my kitchen counter for these and it wasn't too bad.
