Fall Banner With Book Page Leaves

This simple fall leaf garland is the perfect accent to a pumpkin-filled fall mantel - and it's easy to make, too. You could even write blessings in your life that you're thankful for on leaf paper shapes and clip them to the leaves!

If you hang around my Hometalk page or my blog very long, you'll discover my affection for projects that are effective, but quick and easy. Oh, I can do a big, drawn-out project alright... but I sure do like the quick ones!
All you need are pretty basic supplies: twine, old clothespins, craft leaves and book pages. Instead of book pages, you could cut out leaf shapes and write what you're thankful for on the leaves and clip them to your banner. Or you could spell out 'Give Thanks' on leaf shapes... the possibilities are endless!
Tie the twine around the 'heads' of the clothespins at regular intervals. Then just attach the leaves to the clothespins and string from one end of the mantel to the other.

See... how easy was that? Be sure to visit the blog to see how it looks with my fall mantel! http://sondralynathome.com/fall-banner-with-book-page-leaves/
