Flickering recessed LED lights

We recently replace our recessed ceiling lights with LED floods. Some of them blink/flicker. We have purchased new ones and changed them out, thinking it was the a few bad bulbs. They still randomly flicker. Any suggestions?

I read somewhere online you have to replace the switch to led friendly...I ended up buying a different bulb.

My guess is your lights are on a dimmer switch and the two are not compatible. If that is the case you'll need to replace the switch to one that's compatible with LED bulbs. If you don't have them on a dimmer switch, it could be interference with appliances or too much load on that circuit.

I have a similar problem with my ceiling fans. If i use only led bulbs they strobe. If i use 2 led and one regular I don't have that problem. Anyone have a fix for that?!!! LOL

It's not the switch or all lights would flicker. Check the wires in the lights that are flickering . Each wire is made up of many wires twist together & one of these wires is creating a minimal short in both lights. When the whole wires are attached to the screw, one can pop out and touch the surrounding case & as they are v small they are hard to see. If u dont understand call an electrician. This is not something to play with if u dont know.

If the light is a dimming light the led must also be a dimming led. If its a dimmable light you can change the switch to non dimmable or change the bulb to a dimmable led.

I have ordinary bulb and dimmer switch and no flickering . Flickering comes from the wires that make up each wire. 16 gauge wire has 16 little wires twisted together if one wire of these is longer or shorter and sticks out and makes contact in the socket or the switch; u will get flickering ;because it is touch metal and minimally shorting out.The short causes the flicker...

Good to know Bob, but if one piece of wire is not tucked in by person doing electric connection that does happen; its happened to me and no melt down. But once I opened it up there was a tinge of black and when I fixed it ; no more flicker. The 16 wire was when I was wiring my 1939 Austin Cambridge. Guess he was BS me cause he didn't know either. Good info tho and see your point. I do have regular bulbs & dimmer switch;no flicker.What do u suggest is wrong then.
