These cabinets are located in a beach house. The white wash could be left off and a glaze added to make these less "beachy". The project took one quart of chalk paint.
Before, pickled cabinets
All finished- the new pulls are installed. There was nothing wrong with the pickled cabinets. I wanted painted cabinets instead.
The lower cabinets have been painted with two coats of Annie Sloan's Old Ocre.
I used two coats of Annie Sloan's chalk paint, white washed ( paint thinned with water) with an off white paint, distressed and clear coated with a poly top coat.
The last cabinets are ready to paint!

I would love to do this to my pickled oak cabinets. I see that you used the Chalk paint and thinned it with water. Can you please let me know if you used anything else? Any other paint or material? Thank you!
