Color paint

Question

I am thinking of painting the walls an off gold color.  Any other suggestions?  This is in a north facing room but it has a huge picture window on north end and room runs into dining area which has another window on south end.

Thats really personnel taste,however with the size of the room I would like to see you paint the largest wall an accent color and the other walls the lighter shade of the larger wall.Honestly I do not feel gold would do the bright large room any justice, My opinion.

I think you can play off the colors you already have inside your room. If you go all 'off gold', I see it creating a very monochromatic look. You have gold/yellow in the floors, and the cream/gold in the fireplace, so the color you have going on works nicely. However, on the Fireplace wall to the corner before the door, I would go gold, like the color palette I downloaded. Don't mind the dark blue color, unless you want to throw in accessory details (ie. pillows, picture frames) Also, to play off the lighter blue color you already have painted on your walls, I would go three to four shades darker with the same color on the wall with the large picture frame. The darker color will ease into the frame you have with that painting. plus it will give your room dimension. I actually think a gold would be lovely with the floor and wood trim. I have a similar color oak floor and my ladies parlor is a lovely shade of gold.

A soft gold color would look great with your floor and furniture. Also, with the room facing north, it would visually warm up your space.
