cleaning kitchen cabinet doors

Built house 35 yrs ago, cabinets are dark veneer. It must be a great quality veneer, well installed, because it has never peeled or shrunk one bit. I don't want the expense of replacing or refacing, I just want to remove pulls and clean the door fronts. Please suggest a good product.

I have used a home brew of a little dish soap in water...you need to keep the overall wettness in check as the water is what leads to damage.

My wife uses the same thing she uses to clean her horse tack. Murphy's oil soap. She uses the gelled type and wets a rag, rubs it in the soap and cleans the cabinets. It removes grease, oils and build up on the fronts and does not harm the original finish.

Lemon Oil .. put on with one cloth over whole door, use dry cloth to remove residue.

Tri-sodium phosphate. It is also made in a non-phosphate formula. Really helps to loosen yucky gunk so you can clean it off. Hardware stores carry it. Be sure to wear rubber or single use gloves.

The issue with using TSP is that it can dull the finish on the surface if its not properly diluted Use with care.
