Burlap & A Coat Hanger Make a Wreath

A simple way to make a wreath is with a wire coat hanger and some ribbon. This paper burlap ribbon called to me at the fabric store. It's red and natural tone tartan were the inspiration for a Christmas wreath dressed up with pinecones from my garden.
This wreath is super quick and easy to make and is perfect for a rustic Christmas decor. It's a wreath making method that you can use all year round.
You'll need a wire coat hanger, some burlap ribbon, pliers to undo the top of the hanger, pinecones and some florist or other thin wire to secure the pinecones.
Start by undoing the top of the coat hanger by untwisting the metal with the pliers. Then thread the ribbon through. The open weave of the burlap makes this super easy.
Twist as you thread the ribbon to get a nice full look - otherwise it just looks folded and a little too simple in my opinion.
Attach the pinecones by wrapping a length of wire around, tucking it under the keys. Twist 3-5 together and secure with wire onto the wreath.
As this ribbon was made of paper, it won't be staying outside as it won't hold up to the elements. But if you use regular burlap, it will withstand getting snowed upon.
