Kitchen Makeover

Our new house had an old, dated, dirty, kinda-gross, super dark kitchen. Come check out how we completely changed it from dark and dated, to bright and beautiful!

We completely gutted the space - taking down that entire wall of cabinetry that divided the kitchen from the family room. In its place, we put a massive island, with all kinds of great extras, like USB plugs, built in trash can, push button garbage disposal and under the counter microwave to name a few.

We went with black cabinets for the island, and white cabinets for the wall. Quartzite counters and a gorgeous backsplash.

Uh, this project was such a mess! Everything came down... but it was all worth it in the end.

Very nice! I am in the process of a complete kitchen remodel as well. I love the backsplash and this is pretty close to what I've been looking for but can't seem to find it.If you don't mind me asking,where did to purchase yours from?

is this the other side totally...where did the windows come from..and where did the hallway that is shown in the picture go...? Do you have any picutres during the reno...?
