Bought these mini cookie cutters at the thrift store today.
Besides the usual wreath idea, any interesting ideas of how I can turn them into a Christmas Treasure?

    I would start with the xmas trees for the fist layer then use the rest to decorate just as if you were timing your tree.

      That would be a cool concept, cover them in some sort of poly-resin and use as either display or cutting board! Not to give the wrong idea, lol, but have seen bars with bottle caps embedded in the actual bar/wood??? Good idea!

    How about a mobile you could start with an embroidery hoop. Paint it the colour you like or even wrap it with thread or yarn then paint or leave plain the cutters. Then using more twine string or embroidery floss hang the ornaments/ cookie cutters. Maybe putting bells on the string at the end. Have a nice holiday.

    For an old timey look, get a dowel rod and hang the cookie cutters like Christmas ornaments at different lengths. You could even paint the cookie cutters in red, green, silver and gold.

    Dip edges in glue and sprinkle with very fine glitter then hang. You could use very fine ribbon and hang at selection at different heights across a window pane. Or glitter then make a garland with them interspersed with little spoons or other kitchenalia.

    Make a mantle garland with them. Get an artificial, lighted, green garland. Spray the cookie cutters in shiny silver and gold metallics, Buy or bake fake exaggerated size cookies that match some of the cutters with flour and salt, decorate the cookies took real with paint and sprinkle with glitter and attach to garland add ribbons add little some tree ornaments to fill in here and there. If you don't have a mantle, put in across a side board, hutch or window.

    A printers style box as a display. You could use different papers behind them all, maybe even make it an advent type calendar. Using printer style keys in front of each of the opening with the day's date to help keep the mini cutter inside.

    Fill with suet for birds to hang from trees outside. They will love you and you get the pleasure of watching them.

      @Bonnie wit lam Good idea, but I would paint them nice colors with an outdoor metal paint and maybe a protective coating (marine varnish/varathane) otherwise they will quickly deteriorate outdoors.

    They can be used as Christmas soap or bath bom molds if you're crafty. Bath bombs are simple to make and make great Christmas gifts!

    I love them all! Mine would be to find the best recipe for sugar cookies and print it out on pretty paper. Get a cute basket, put the recipe in it with some cookies you have made, and tie the cookie cutter to the basket top.     Ever thought about making cinnamon, applesauce and Elmer's glue recipe for making Christmas ornaments. You make it like you are making pie crust, roll it out and use your cookie cutters for the design, use a straw to make the hole to put ribbon through after you bake them and then hang them on your tree. Makes your whole house smell so GOOD

    They could be made into a Christmas garland using jute twine for the cord or for more color use ribbon. They could also be spray painted a color of you choice before you made the garland. A completely different use would be to use them for molds for fudge. Pour or spoon fudge into the cutters and set up. Put 2 -3 in a cellophane bag and tie with a pretty ribbon & cute tag, use as gifts for teachers, mailman or whoever .

    I took all of my cookie cutters ...holiday or otherwise ...and hung them on a hat hanger I used bag ties and tiny cloth spins ...I mixed in jute and artificial ivy ...I hung it on the wall as a decoration ..but the good thing is when I want to use them I just take them off and wash and use them...this freed up storage space in my drawers and added an old fashioned decoration to my kitchen

    I glued colorful Christmas ribbon to the outside of the cookie cutters and left a bit at the top as a loop and then hung them on our tree. Or you could use them to cut out cinnamon dough ornaments for the tree or for a package or patterns for wood ornaments that you paint with children....

    I'd give using them as wax molds a shot. Make mini floating candles. Surrounded with some fresh greenery, a pretty bowl of them would make a great centerpiece for your holiday table.

    I think they would make a darling garland. Drill a hole in each one (if possible??) and string together with something small & Christmasy in between each cutter (would stretch the length out a bit more too!).

    You could use them to make the salt dough shapes, you could glue them to material, cut them out and make a baby mobile out of them. Out line a baby frame with them.

    You could make up a batch of cinnamon/applesauce/white glue ornament dough and use these to cut out the shapes. Poke a hole in the top with a skewer. Once they are dry, they make sweet smelling christmas ornaments.

    Spray paint just the outside, (leave inside the shiny aluminum) and hang on tree with pretty ribbon or yarn as ornaments. Or on a little tabletop tree for the kitchen

    Use them over and over! Make simple salt dough ornaments (you can put glitter in the salt dough when you knead it). Put a hole in each by using a plastic straw. String them on jute to make garlands and give them away as gifts.

    Use them to make cinnamon/applesauce/glue ornaments for a miniature tree. Tie them into a garland. Make a miniature tree with them as ornaments. Make clay cookies and decorate. Make real cookies and eat! Use as package décor...tie into ribbon on packages. Add a recipe to them and give as gifts.

    I like the idea of putting ribbon through them and hanging them on the tree. Beautiful color ribbons out there. I'd go 1 step further and hang them on some longer ribbon off the corners of pictures frames, or anywhere that needs that extra touch

    Mount them on a base that is stained or painted and use it as a runner down the centre of your Christmas table and to compliment your centre piece use some of the the remaining ones as napkin holders.

    layer the dry ingredients of a roll out cookie recipe in a mason jar. Attach the recipe with some ribbon or your choice of country touch and attach 1 or 2 cookie cutters to the jar. Makes a nice gift.
