This is very close to a pattern that can be found on Patternmart.com. It's name is Prim Olde Santa Shelf Sitter by Cabin Creek/ Olde Road Primitives. $6.75 I think. Just click on "Designers" and scroll down to Cabin Creek...they have something like 4 or 5 pages of patterns!! Enjoy!!

The wool for the beard can also be ordered from Patternmart.com....at least it use to be. Use the scroll to find wool.

Patternmart is a really neat site, thanks for sharing! I think I have some Cabin Creek patterns vintage , will have to look around for them.

I was going to suggest Patternmart also! Their search engine is terrific and the people who run the site are great to deal with.

I don't know about a pattern, but it looks like you could do about the same thing with a small pair of pantyhose. You could stuff the legs and body with the color of fabric or cotton that you want, tie a knot in the top of the legs. Stuff the head with cotton, glue on eyes and eyebrows. Stuff the hat and then tie a knot in the top of it between the head and hat and then again for the little white ball at the end of the hat. Just an idea. Use a little water color paint to color the cheeks and draw on the nose. Good Luck!

OK....so I ordered the pattern and made it this week. Made mine from wool fabric so I didn't have to paint my Santa. Original pattern shows it with a basket of pine, berries, stars etc. and that how I made mine. Easy pattern if you can find the sheep's wool for the beard.

Yes Deborah Rutherford....Patternmart is where I bought the downloadable pattern. Look for Old Road Primitives/Cabin Creek. A few dollars more than I thought, but worth it. Enjoy!!

I made a Santa "head" like this once, at least 25 years ago. I used rug yarn and believe it or not the side of a Clorox bottle. therefore the curved face. The directions were on a flyer put out by the rug yarn company.

Did you get the Wolf Block instruction sheet. I had the blocks years ago. I want to paint my own personal set. So I need both parts of the instructions. Thank you.
