Metallic Painted Leaf Magnolia Wreath

Are you looking for a unique holiday decor accent? I have created a gorgeous painted leaf magnolia wreath that is truly stunning! And the best news is that you can use leaves that you may have in your own backyard. Read on to see my steps.
I started by gathering magnolia leaves that had fallen and were already brown and dried. I sorted them by size and found a collection of leaves that were similar in size and rather flat. I painted them them in assorted metallic colors, using my collection of Fusion Mineral Paint Studio Metallics.
The Fusion Studio Metallics are fantastic paints! They have such a deep, reflective metallic shine. I used the Pale Gold, Silver, and Copper, and left a few leaves natural as well.
I used floral wire to attach the leaves in a staggering color pattern, working my way around the entire wreath form. For the most part the stems held up really well to being wired on, but it's best to still be gentle with them!
Once your whole form is covered, you may find a few places where you need to hot glue the leaves to one another to keep them laying in the right direction.
The finished project is a one-of-a-kind, gorgeous wreath that is perfect for the holidays, or possibly even year round! You can learn more about the Fusion Studio Metallic Paints I used and order some of your own on my blog. Thanks!!

Maybe I missed something 🤔 I even checked your blog. Are the leaves spray painted? This could even be a Xmas wreath. Adding a poinsettia, pine pokes, pine cones, here & there. I love your creation! 👍👏

Imagine my grief when I returned from a short trip to find my neighbor had removed his "messy" magnolia tree! I had planned on gathering its leaves for just such a project. At least I can see how beautiful mine would have been!
