Crawfish table

Friend wants a table build to eat crawfish at. Guessing something with a hole in the center to throw shells. We have several shellfish cookouts down here. Everyone stands around and digs in. A hole in the center with a large trashcan underneath to catch all the shells. Never actually seen one. Any ideas???

@Forestine M interesting concept. I had never heard of this type of table, but did a google search. This site has one made out of an old table - http://dmentd.com/crawfish-table-number-deux From the structure I would guess it would be pretty easy to produce using pallets. Thanks for posing the question, I always love to learn new things :)

I like the idea of the sides being built up since it is tradition to just throw the dinner across the table. I think it may work well to have the trash can come up through the table a bit to keep the uneatten goodies from going into the trash accidentally.

Thanks for the help. Think we have it figured out now. She just wants to set the table on top of 2 trash cans, but having the edges up would be helpful. May use boards around the holes.
