Dollar Store Silhouette Etched Mirror
I really, really love my Silhouette Cameo machine! My favorite thing to use it for has been vinyl projects. I’m a sucker for quotes and sayings (Here is my Interchangeable Wall Art.)
I’ve wanted to try glass etching with my Cameo for quite some time. I figured the easiest way to start is to buy a kit, so I bought this Silhouette Glass Etching Starter Kit from Amazon. It’s a super cool kit that comes with vinyl, transfer tape, etching cream, the Silhouette hook, scraper and idea book. It even has an instructional DVD and a card so you can download some designs to etch. It really is the perfect way to get started. Much easier than buying everything separately.
I picked up this mirror from the dollar store (yes, it was only $1.00)! I thought it would be the perfect item to use for my first etching project. I decided I wanted “Joy” on it so it would be great for Christmas but also work for any time of the year.
