Easy Glitter Wooden Letters

I cannot get enough glitter in my life and the holidays make it totally acceptable to go overboard. It's so easy to get letters from any craft store and I wanted to add a pop of color and glitter to my holiday mantel. I picked up letters that spelled JOY and did my thing.
I used the letters, red and gold paint, sparkle Mod Podge, and red glitter.
I painted the sides of the letters gold and the front red.
I then painted the front with the Mod Podge. There was a ton of sparkle just from that!
While it was wet, I sprinkled the red glitter on top. After it dried, I covered it with another coat of the Mod Podge.
So super easy and the possibilities are endless. I made these ages ago, but am planning on making more words this year. (And yes, we have an unfortunately placed vent on our fireplace.)
