DIY Ornament Mistletoe - One of Our #DIYGifts

Our favorite gifts to give during the holidays are ornaments! They are festive, easy to personalize and are perfect stocking stuffers. Brittany takes us step by step to make this gorgeous and unique Ornament Mistletoe using mini ornaments from her local craft store! Those adorable mini ornaments show up everywhere this time of the year, but we have never known what to do with them. Can't hang them alone on a full size tree because they will look ridiculously miniature. The only solution is to group them together to make a larger ornament, the perfect DIY gift! Materials: Mini ornaments, Transite (somewhat like fishing line used for jewelry making), Hot glue, Ribbon/Bows, Ornament hook
Step 1: Tie and knot the transite/fishing line around each of the ornaments.

TIP: You will want to make sure that they are all slightly different lengths so the ornaments will hang in a staggered fashion instead of one large clump!
Step 2: Dab a tiny amount of hot glue on your tiny knot on the tiny ornament to ensure they will not come loose.
Step 3: Assemble the mini ornaments in an upside "bouquet" type arrangement.

TIP: Because the transite was cut at different lengths, the easiest way to arrange them is to make sure the ends line up together!
Step 4: Continue to do this for all of the ornaments. If you decide that you don't like the way one of the tiers looks, shorten the transite/fishing line until everything is at the desired length
Step 5: Tie all of the ends together and again use hot glue to ensure they are firmly secured. Add a bow to the top (such as this one which had a convenient twist tie on the back) to give it that extra *pop* of wow!
Your Ornament Mistletoe is now complete! Share a stolen kiss with your love under this adorable mistletoe; unlike the traditional plant it will never wilt. A beautiful, inexpensive and quick gift for the holidays!

I think these are sweet. A bunch of these little pods would look great on a tree. Adorning each window, back of each dining room chair, cabinet drawer pulls. Oh the possibilities. Just sweet as can be. Thank you dear. And Merry Christmas to you and yours.
