Create these rustic-charm decorations and use them as tree ornaments or for handmade cards. Kid friendly and grown-up friendly (read the blog post to see how inspiring it was for both).
Upcycle your old jeans or denim scraps and use up those short ribbon lengths or kitchen twine. Most, if not all of the supplies, are probably on hand.
Make your own cardboard templates for the denim shapes from simple images or cookie cutters.
Pair the denim with burlap (think rice bags!), add a bit of paint and glitter and glue it all together with white glue. Don't worry if a bit of glitter ends up on the dogs. They don't mind.
Instead of burlap, recycle your kraft parcel wrap. Get it good and wrinkly for texture! A sweet and simple project that can be finished in an afternoon.
