Storage Bench Makeover
Needing some stylish storage for her entry, a friend asked me to make over this craftsman style bench. She purchased this vintage furniture paint in Hurricane, a gray-green hue.
Here's the before shot, the finish was dated, and did not fit my friend's country cottage style.
Two coats of paint to the rescue. After sanding smooth, I sealed the paint with one coat of clear wax and one coat of dark antiquing wax to give some depth to the color and bring out the details.
This piece will add plenty of storage to the foyer, along with a nice place to sit for a minute while getting ready to go out, or after arriving back home. Visit my blog, Reinvented for more details and photos.
