New Life For An Old Barn Door
A friend and I traveled to a nearby city to pick through an old barn that the owners were about to sell. We found tons of goodies including a very beautiful barn door.
It's kind of hard to see in the picture above but a barn door is sitting in the loft above me.
A nice scrubbing with some mild dish detergent and the old barn door is beautiful as ever.
I found a coffee table with some very heavy cast iron legs on a Facebook garage sale page that seemed to be made for this barn door. The door fit perfectly on the legs!
I drilled a few holes and attached the legs with bolts. This coffee table is unbelievably heavy and solid!
A little more cleaning and a few coats of matte polyurethane later and this beauty is ready for a new home.
