Christmas Cages

I love when I can use something I normally use for summer decor in the winter.
In this case I created Christmas "cages."
Usually they are in the garden sitting area where I used them for lighting in the evenings
Yesterday as we were putting the last of summer away (late I know - we're notorious procrastinators) I had an idea!
what about if I filled them with left over bits of garland and a few decorations?

what about indeed!

I just love them!
The quickest decor for outside by far - each one took precisely ONE minutes to do lol !

They're the perfect touch for the entryway - I may add battery operated tea lights to them -

And I'm almost hesitant to admit this - but I'm officially ready for a lights (key word being light) dusting of snow to fall over everything

I'm thinking birdcages would work just as well (I don't have any but if YOU do fill them with greenery for instant Christmas decor!)

I have an old birdcage that I decorate for any occasion. It's on the front porch and now it holds a ceramic little bird and a real bird's nest with a skeleton of a bird. Okay, it's weird, but I do get comments on it....now I'm ready to do Christmas!
