Hi Mike. It is not too late to prune your Crape Myrtles this year. Even though you are in GA and I am in MD and your season starts a little earlier than mine, it is still a good time to prune them. They bloom on new wood. We have a customer that has them and we prune them back to the same size every spring and they bloom beautifully.

Mine have just barely started to leaf out here in Florida. I'm sure you're behind me, so it's fine to do so now. Just remember that pruning should be light and for shape. Don't commit crepe murder.

You will be fine if you do it! Or asap....
