Even Though Thanksgiving is Over... GIVE Art Still Applies
I know, Thanksgiving is over, but I'm still gonna share the easy DIY art I made for my mantle. It would apply and be fine used for Christmas too!
I wanted a big simple word on my mantle. I pulled the 'give' out of Thanksgiving.
I bought a large piece of foam core, metallic gold paint and a paintbrush.
I, of course sketched my text first. It took me a couple of tries to figure out the 'i' and 'v'. Once I got that how I wanted I just followed along with my gold paint. I chose a flat brush for a nice wide line. It isn't perfect, but it doesn't matter.
I use items headed to the recycle bin for my paint pallet!
Here is what it looks like.
And, above my mantle. It was the perfect center piece!
