Repurposed Shabby Chic Crosses

Inspired by an idea from fellow blogger Laurel from Chipping with Charm, I assembled a couple shabby chic crosses from a vintage wood level and door plates.
Here one of my shabby chic crosses hanging on my foyer wall.
I purchased a $6 vintage wood level at a consignment shop.
I had these vintage door plates from my Mom. I had already painted them with a creamy white enamel.
The level was sawed into two pieces, and then dry brushed with the same creamy white paint.
The door plate and level were distressed with sandpaper and glued together with E6000.
