And Sew It Goes

I took an old sewing machine table and decided it would make a great desk. When you flip open the top there is storage for pencils, pens and paper. Plus the front opens for more storage. Or it can be used as a vanity.
Sew It Goes - Recycle a sewing machine table
I inserted a utensil organizer the the spot where the sewing machine use to be. Now this old sewing machine table is a desk by day, table by night when work is done.
Read the post for instructions on installing the utensil organizer in place of the sewing machine. A good paint job with DIY chalk paint and new knobs and this table is renewed.

I want to try this. I would like to read about the utensil organizer but can’t find it. Can you help?

This morning I had decided to do the same thing with my mother's 1950s era sewing cabinet; I have just disposed of the wonderful old Singer machine that 'lived' in the cabinet, sending it to a good home to become an 'organ doner' to save other vintage machines bit by bit. A new step-grand is soon moving here and does not have a desk; this will work perfectly for her in a somewhat modest-sized bedroom where she can be surrounded by her own things and a new desk that we will work together on to totally customize it for her. I love your idea of putting the storage area/bin into the machine drop. Thanks!!
