The perfect entertainment set (on a budget)

After moving to a new home, we couldn't figure out quite what to do about the free floating TV on the wall... it needed something to anchor it down visually, but an expensive entertainment set wasn't going to happen anytime soon. SO.. off to the garage sales. This well built dresser was $20! It had 3 animal print drawers that went away. Hubby made some inserts to act as shelves for the middle and drilled some holes behind the side drawers for cords. Distressing with some sandpaper, spray painting the middle black, adding some new drawer handles.(more on the photo) A light coat of polyurethane all over and into the living room!
The doors from the middle were missing and the drawers were all painted with an animal print.
It's heavy and a nice size.
The handles were typical bedroom style.
The new handles are leather luggage straps with Texas Ranger stars through the luggage straps and the old holes. No drilling.
Here's how it looks under the TV. It holds all the DVD's, CD's, Wii games, batteries, etc.

@Melissa B awesome job. Very professional look to this piece, I love the leather strap pulls you created. I agree it fits right in with the tv and adds a lot of character to the room. Thanks for sharing :)
