Upcycling Old Picture Frames Into Jewellery Holders

I recently took part in the Upcycle Revolution challenge with Gumtree. We were tasked with buying an item on Gumtree and upcycling it into something new.
Before
I found these two ornate frames which I thought would be perfect for turning into jewellery holders.
Sand down the frames
The first step was to sand down the frames, not too hard, just enough to get a key for the spray paint.
The next step was spraying the frames. I did 3 coats on each.
The next step was to add in the wire. I found the best way to do this was to lay the frames upside down, place the wire on top and mark where you are going to cut.
The finished product!
