DIY Linen Burlap Christmas Stockings

These stockings are beautiful and look like they came from an expensive high-end store, but they're not to hard to DIY! They look beautiful as part of a rustic Christmas mantel.
I love how these all coordinate, but they're all unique with different trims and finishing techniques.
To make these, I used some linen burlap fabric and some polyester/cotton lining fabric. You can find links to these on my blog post as well as the free stocking pattern download.
Linen burlap (or regular burlap, for that matter) fringes really nicely, so I fringed some of the cuff pieces for a fun bohemian look. I loved the result!
Next, I sewed the main pieces and the lining pieces together.
I embellished some of the stocking cuffs with various strips of ribbon, yarn and lace I had in my stash.
Then, I sewed the lining to the main pieces, right sides together.
(Before I did that, I attached a loop of trim so that I could hang the stockings from hooks.)
Voila! My very own boutique stockings for my vintage-inspired Christmas mantel.
