Christmas DIY Wood Crate and 4 Chalky Paint Recipes

1 Hour
Easy
We were challenged to take a plain wood crate and make it Christmas festive.
I bought three and plan to use them under my Christmas tree.
I started with a plain wood box and wood snowflakes from Hobby Lobby.
First I spray painted the inside of the box with Rustoleum's Painter's Touch 2x Ivory Bisque.

I spray painted the snowflake the same ivory bisque as the box interior and then sprinkled silver glitter on it to give it some pinache and then hung it on a nail on the box.
Annie Sloan Duck Egg Blue was the perfect choice for an accent color.
I painted it on the outside slats and side solid wood with a foam brush.
Look at the snowflake sparkle!

This was a very easy DIY - a wood box, paint, a foam brush and glitter.
8 other bloggers took the challenge - their links are on my blog. How would you decorate a plain wooden box for Christmas?
