Best paint color

I am trying to find the best wall color for my antique venue. I want a color that would accomodate painted antiques and wood stain antiques. Now I have a large selection of painted furniture that I will be phasing out as I sell........and just splash some painted pieces in with my wood stain pieces I will be concentrating on. I thought of burgund with some gold sponge painting, the emerald color that is som popular with gold sponging, then just salmon with no sponge painting....but could sponge with bronze or copper. I just don't know. I would appreciate your opinion and recommendations.

I'd recommend a plain neutral (like taupe/mocha) so your pieces will stand out rather than "compete" with a strong colored wall/background.

I totally agree with a neutral wall color to make the pieces stand out. Sponge painting will make your shop appear "dated" and not vintage. Keep in mind there are some beautiful neutrals too that will make your shop warm, welcoming and inviting!
