Finger cots protect the fingertips. They are the little rubber tips you put on your fingers when counting money. Also small silicone spatulas work great, glue doesnt stick to silicone

Man, I've been taking my tiny scissors & sraping up into the gun between plastic & metal to get the black gook off, then scraping tip w/ 1 scissor blade. I literally have no feeling in fingertips from holding glued object in place... Ouch ! My legs look like I have big white freckles cuz I wear shorts when I work & when the glue drops on my skin I have to grin & bear it till the pain & heat is gone, then have to peel it off the skin. Any tips on this( besides wear pants ?)

I put a towel over my lap when working w/the glue gun it really helps use a old towel and just keep for that purpose!!
