Home For Christmas: A Cozy Guest Room

I'm thrilled to join an esteemed group of home/garden/DIY bloggers this month to share a holiday project with CountryLiving.com and Hometalk.com.
Country Living is one of the few publications I consistently admire. I look forward to every issue, and make a point of reading it cover to cover, so I don't miss a thing. I was thrilled to attend the Country Living Fair in Columbus this fall. The style offered in the pages of Country Living has evolved gracefully, from pure country, to organic, rustic, clean, with details that define the warmth of a home.
I decided to feature our guest room for Home For Christmas. This is a room that has been mostly neglected since we moved here a little over a year ago. Before guests arrive, I'm a busy bee, tidying and making the bed, but no real change has happened in this room. I'm thankful for understanding family and friends, and I promise that one day it will be amazing! I'm picturing a wall planked with reclaimed wood...
I did finally find a beautiful bed. I considered painting it, or possibly turning it into a bench, but I don't know if I could do either of those things. It's so pretty as is.
This armoire has recently undergone a big makeover. It is almost ready for its own post. In the meantime, it adds the perfect touch of red to this room.
I wanted this room to feel warm and celebrate the season, without going overboard. A little holiday charm goes a long way!
My small collection of vintage brass candleholders fits perfectly on the armoire.
I'm off to visit the other talented bloggers taking part in this holiday event. Be sure to visit each one and find us by searching on social media!
