20-Minute Vintage Christmas Mantel

In a time-crunch to decorate? Here's a lovely vintage Christmas mantel that can be put together in a jiffy. Plus some of my best decorating tips!
When you need to pull an area together quickly, it helps to use items you already have. Most of the decor on this year's Christmas mantel are things we've had for years. Some are items that belonged to my mother and her parents before her, like this cola bottle crate:
The crate makes an interesting piece when loaded with ornaments that hold family memories! This wash board belonged to my mom, and the galvanized metal ties in well with the metal letters in the center of the mantel, as well as the galvanized bucket that our tree sits in this year!
Don't you just love the skis?
Tying the whole vignette together is the color red! So many touches of red throughout lend to the overall Christmas-y spirit of the fireplace.
