DIY String Art Wood Slice Ornament

String art is all the rage but so is using a wood slice to create stuff. So what happens when you combine the two?
String Art Wood Slice Ornaments.
These ornaments are fun to make and when you use twine instead of string, you get a lovely rustic look to hang on your tree.
Using a template drawn on thin paper such as tissue paper or newspaper, nail in small finishing nails. I chose gold ones from a picture hanging kit to bring a bit of bling to my rustic look.
Wrap your twine around the nails and finish it off by pushing the excess twine back under your design. It should hold but if you're worried, use a spot of glue to secure it.
Hammer a metal staple into the top of the ornament and hang it from your tree!
