K-cup Fairy House Christmas Ornaments

I love my k-cup and use it every day! Looking at those sad empty cups I thought they looked like mushroom stems! So grab a few empty k-cups, felt, glue, markers and let's make some Fairy House Christmas Ornaments!
These were so easy to make and I had the son's girlfriend do the artwork for the price of some dark chocolate.
First step - cut a circle from thin cardboard about 1 - 2 inches bigger than your k cup. Cut 1 circle the same size from felt (underside of shroom), and one a half in larger (top of shroom). Grab some glue and cotton balls!
I used a combo of cloth glue and hot glue for this craft. Use what works best for you! Glue the underside of the shroom to the cardboard circle. On top of the cardboard glue three cotton balls for a small shroom, 4 if you want it a bit fluffier.
Cover the cotton balls with the shroom top, add any decorations. Hot glue the completed mushroom top to the k-cup.
Using sharpies, decorate!
All ready for Christmas!
Beautiful scroll work! If you do not have an artist you can bribe with chocolate, eat the chocolate yourself and draw away!
